Most cuts of pork have a freezer life of 6 to 8 months. The pork should be wrapped properly to maximize the freezer shelf life.

Fresh pork, including pork chops, tenderloin, shoulder and ground pork, can be safely stored in the refrigerator for 1 to 2 days after the sell-by date.

Most types of cooked pork can be stored in the freezer for 6 to 8 months. Cooked pork should not be stored in the refrigerator for more than 7 days.

Pork that is stored in the freezer should be in its original wrapping, freezer bags or air-tight containers. Keeping moisture and air away from the meat aids in preservation.
