How do you find frequency?

Since frequency is the reciprocal of time period and vice versa, it can be calculated by dividing the value of the time period by one. The symbol "T" is used for period and the symbol "F" is used for frequency. Therefore the formula will be expressed as: F = 1 / T.

Frequency and time period are two different quantities, yet they are related to each other in reverse proportion. Frequency is how often a certain incident happens, while period can be defined as the time the incident takes to happen. Frequency can also be referred to as cycles per second, while time period is seconds per cycle.
