What is a frequency table with intervals?

A frequency table with intervals is a data table showing summarized data and the number of times a data value occurs. The table features intervals, which are used to organize, interpret and examine data values that fall in the range specified by a particular group.
The table usually features three separate columns. One column is for intervals. The amount of intervals is defined by the range in data values. Intervals are equal in size and do not overlap. The other column is for tallied results; this is where the frequency of data values is tallied. The last column is usually used to find the frequency results.
