What fruit comes from the graviola tree?

The fruit that comes from the graviola tree is the soursop. The fruit and tree are related to the cherimoya and pawpaw. The fruit tastes like a combination of pineapple and strawberry with citrus, banana and coconut undertones. The tree is widely grown in Latin America, Southeast Asia and Africa.
Graviola fruit is sometimes promoted as a cancer cure, and there have been claims that extracts from the fruit kill 12 different types of cancer cells. However, while the graviola fruit contains significant amounts of vitamin C, vitamin B1 and vitamin B2 and shows anti-inflammatory properties, there is no scientific evidence to back up the claim that it fights cancer.
