Fuji is a mountain located in Japan on the border of Yamanashi and Shizuoka. It is an active volcano and the tallest mountain in Japan.
Yamanashi is to the west of Tokyo, which is the capital of Japan. Mount Fuji is visible from Tokyo and Yokohama on clear days, and it has an altitude of 3,776 meters. Shizuoka is located along the Pacific coast, and Mount Fuji is inside its borders. The best view of the mountain can be obtained by boarding the train at the Shin-Fuji Station. After travelling for 45 minutes, Mount Fuji can be seen to the right of the train.
