Do GE appliances come with an extended warranty?

As of 2015, GE does not offer an extended warranty with purchase of an appliance. An extended warranty must be purchased from an authorized third party.

Assurant Solutions is authorized by GE to sell extended warranties for GE appliances. Both parts and labor are covered. A $100 credit is available for any food spoilage that occurs from a broken appliance. An appliance up to 15 years old is eligible for coverage. There is a $10 fee for transferring the warranty.

Cosmetic parts are not included in extended warranties. Consumer abuse and any damage of consumer appliances operating in commercial applications are not covered.
