Will Trane honor the extended warranty?

The extended warranty offered by Trane is valid provided that the appliance undergoes routine maintenance by an independent Trane dealer. This is to ensure that the equipment is working properly as instructed in the owner's guide.

This extended warranty is optional for the buyer and may be purchased within five years from the date of sale. Buyers only need to call the dealer specified in the agreement for repair. The coverage is in five or ten year increments and may cover parts only or with services. This is also fully transferable if the property where the appliance is installed got sold.
