Are GE gas ranges energy efficient?

No General Electric gas range is certified as an efficient appliance by the Department of Energy's Energy Star program. The Department of Energy currently does not offer this certification for residential gas or electric ranges from any manufacturer.
While a General Electric gas range is not certified as an energy-efficient appliance, it is still a more economical choice for cooking than an electric range in areas with typical gas prices, as of 2015. For example, cooking a typical casserole in a typical electric oven is estimated to require 16 cents worth of electricity, as compared to 7 cents worth of gas in a gas oven.
