Do geckos eat fruits and vegetables?
By Forinfos - 29/09/2025 - 0 comments
Geckos do eat fruits and vegetables a couple times a week as an extra treat, however, they're not necessary to the gecko's diet. Geckos seek out softer fruits and vegetables, such as mango, pear, squash, or leafy greens, as they are easier for geckos to digest.
Geckos depend mostly on silkworms, mealworms, crickets and other insects as their nutritional sources. Gecko owners are still encouraged to feed their geckos fruits, vegetables and other tasty treats in order to keep the gecko's diet interesting, while providing as many nutrients as possible. Baby foods containing these fruits and vegetables can also be fed to geckos if solid foods cause digestion issues.
