Lanford, Ill. is a fictional town from the television show "Roseanne." In the show, Lanford was meant to be located in Fulton County, although references on the show suggested the town was further northeast, near the towns of Aurora, Elgin and DeKalb.
The actual home was located in Evansville, Ind. The same town was used for establishing shots to portray outdoor locations of the fictional Lanford. The actual building used for the Lobo Lounge, a common set on the show, was also located in Evansville. The Evansville building used as the family home on the show was listed for $129,000 in 2013. The show "Roseanne" ran from 1988 to 1997 and starred comedian Roseanne Barr.
