Is there a list of the Eastern Bloc countries?

The countries in the Eastern Bloc were Poland, East German, Czechoslovakia, Hungry, Romania, Bulgaria and Yugoslavia. The Eastern Bloc was a group of countries in central and eastern Europe that were dominated by the USSR from the end of World War II until the collapse of the Soviet communist system.

The Soviet communist system collapsed between 1989 and 1991. While under Soviet control, trade and information from other counties were restricted. The USSR also restricted emigration by not allowing residents to leave the Eastern Bloc. Even though there were stiff punishments, thousands of people fled the Eastern Bloc through East Germany to the West.
