The Wrigley Mansion is where William Wrigley, Jr., founder of Wrigley chewing gum, resided with his wife Ada between 1921 and 1932, according to The Inn on Mt. Ada. The town and harbor of Catalina Island are located 350 feet below The Inn.

In 1919, Wrigley purchased 99 percent of Catalina Island. He built his house on Mt. Ada, named after his wife, because it was hit by the most sunlight throughout the day. Construction of Wrigley's home began in 1920 and was completed the following year. During Wrigley's stay at the house, he hosted famous guests, such as Calvin Coolidge and the Prince of Wales, according to The Inn on Mt. Ada.
