When is George R. R. Martin scheduled to release another book?

George R. R. Martin's next book, "A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms," is scheduled for release on Oct. 6, 2015. The book, a prequel of novellas set in the world of "A Song of Ice and Fire," is available for pre-order with online booksellers, as of August 2015

Martin is also working on "High Stakes" in his "Wild Card" series and "The Winds of Winter," the next book in his popular "A Song of Ice and Fire" series. Neither book has an official release date, though Martin hopes to release the highly anticipated "The Winds of Winter" some time before the sixth season of HBO's "Game of Thrones" premieres in 2016.
