What does the giraffe symbolize?

Giraffes are commonly thought to symbolize taking in the big picture, communication and gracefulness. Much of the giraffe's symbolism is drawn from its unique appearance and long neck.
Because of their anatomy, giraffes are uniquely designed to have a better overall view of their space, leading into the idea that a giraffe can symbolize trying to look at the big picture instead of the little details. The giraffe's neck also plays a role in the communication of the species; this, coupled with the fact that the neck is where the voicebox is located, means that these animals are used to symbolize communication issues. The graceful symbolism comes from the animal's long legs and fluid running gait.
