How do I know if my glasses are polarized?

To determine whether or not your glasses are polarized, look at a computer monitor with the glasses on and tilt your head. If the screen changes from bright to dark, your glasses are polarized.
Polarized lenses differ from regular lenses in that they are specially designed to reduce glare on reflective surfaces by filtering light coming from different angles. These lenses make colors and objects appear clearer.
Other tests that can be done to check if glasses are polarized are analyzing the test tag on a new pair of glasses, looking through the glasses at a reflective surface to see if glare is diminished and by comparing two different pairs of glasses.
