What is a glazing putty?

Glazing putty is an easy-to-use construction and repair compound. It is most commonly used in the installation of windows but can also be used as a sealant for imperfections in primers and as a bonding agent.

When applied, glazing putty forms a tight seal that is very resistant to moisture. It does not allow air bubbles to seep inside, thus increasing the strength of the bond it creates. This gives it a superior bonding ability with many surfaces such as glass, wood, vinyl, metal and plastic. It is also very temperature-resistant and does not expand or contract under extreme conditions.
