Top Ten Reviews lists both the Fitbit Zip and the Yamax Power Walker as two good pedometers for walking as of 2016. The overall rating for the Fitbit is 9.57 out of 10, while the Yamax pedometer receives a 9.5 out of 10.

A professional review from Top Ten Reviews notes that the Fitbit synchronizes with iOS devices and tracks food and calories in addition to steps. The review complains that the screen is small and only one stat is viewable at a time.

The Yamax’s professional review raves that it is one of the most precise pedometers available, but notes that it does not have a backlight, nor any wireless features.
