What is gopher control?

Gopher control is the removal of gophers from a home or property. The removal of gophers can be done by using repellent, traps or poison.

Gopher repellent is the least effective method to get rid of gophers. Common rodent repellents do not work on gophers, but some homemade repellents have been known to work. Traps can be used to relocate gophers or to kill them. Two traps should be placed at the burrow opening, including one facing inward and one facing outward. Baiting the traps helps to attract the gophers more quickly. If poisons are used to exterminate gophers, they should be placed where they will not cause harm to other animals in the area.
