To remove grease stains from jeans, soak up the stain with paper towels and talcum powder, and then apply a liquid dish detergent prior to washing. Do not put the jeans in the dryer until the stain is removed.

  1. Soak up the stain

    Use a clean paper towel on both sides of the stain to soak up as much grease as is possible.

  2. Apply talcum powder

    Sprinkle talcum powder over the stain. Allow the powder to sit for several hours, and then shake it off.

  3. Apply dish detergent

    Rub dish detergent on the stain, and leave it there for 30 minutes.

  4. Wash the jeans

    Wash the jeans as you always do.

  5. Dry the jeans

    Reapply the dish detergent, and rewash the jeans if the stain remains. Otherwise, dry the jeans as normal.
