By Forinfos - 14/09/2025 - 0 comments
Greenland lies between the North Atlantic and Arctic oceans on the northeast side of North America. The geographical coordinates are 72 degrees north latitude and 40 degrees west longitude.
The countries nearest Greenland are Canada to the west and Iceland to the east. A vast body of ice known as the Greenland ice sheet covers about 80 percent of Greenland's surface, contributing to its population of only 57,000 that makes it the least densely populated country on the planet. At just more than two million square kilometers, it is the largest island in the world and boasts the world's largest national park, Northeast Greenland National Park.
