What does a grey Great Dane look like?

A grey Great Dane, technically classified as blue, is charcoal in color with a square body, long head, deep muzzle, black nose, medium-sized eyes, high-set ears that fold forward, round feet, and a pointed tail. The coat is short and thick.

Great Danes grow from 28 to 34 inches tall at the shoulder, and they weigh 100 to 200 pounds. They have a lifespan of 7 to 10 years. Great Danes are gentle dogs that are very protective if they believe their owners need protecting. They are prone to hip dysplasia, gastric torsion, bone cancer and heart disease. Diets that are too high in protein, calcium or supplements can also cause development issues. Great Danes require regular brushing and their teeth should be cleaned two to three times per week.
