What is a group of tigers called?

A group of several tigers is called a streak or an ambush. A female tigress and her cubs qualify as a streak. Tigers in captivity, forced to dwell together due to their habitat's size restrictions, are also called a streak.

Characteristically solitary animals, though not asocial, tigers in the wild communicate between themselves using a system of scents, scratches and sounds. Territories are marked by urine and viciously defended. The Siberian tiger is the largest and most powerful of all the wild cats. It weighs an average of 660 pounds and can consume 60 pounds of meat in one sitting.
