Abigail Williams leaves the town of Salem at the end of "The Crucible," leaving John Proctor to hang for his sin of adultery. There is no indication of what happens to Abigail once she leaves Salem. One can only assume she relocated to start a new life.
The character of Abigail Williams in "The Crucible" is based off the 11-year-old girl, Abigail Williams, who was responsible for starting the Salem Witch Trials in 1692. The play portrays her as 17 years old and adds the twist of a love story. Williams was responsible for the deaths of innocent people accused of witchcraft as portrayed in the play.
