Dr. Jan Pol started his veterinarian practice in his home garage in Weidman, Michigan, in 1981 with his wife, Diane, as office manager. As of 2015, the clinic has 10 employees and has helped almost 20,000 clients with small and large animals. National Geographic released the first season of the show starring Dr. Pol in 2011.
