As of 2015, Ann Turner Cook, who was the original Gerber Baby model for Gerber Products Company, is a retired teacher and an author of a series of mystery books. Cook was an English teacher at Hillsborough High School in Tampa from 1966 until her retirement.

Ann Turner Cook became the Gerber baby model in 1928 after a sketch of her face was chosen by the company's advertising campaign. Cook's identity as the Gerber baby was a company secret of almost 50 years, as Gerber did not want the gender of their product's model to be revealed.
