How hard is it to install a remote car starter?
By Forinfos - 29/11/2025 - 0 comments
Installing a remote starter involves splicing the brain of its system into the ignition harness, which takes intermediate knowledge of the electrical system of the vehicle. However, most remote starters are paired with an alarm system, which in itself is more difficult to install.
If the user is installing a stand alone remote starter system, the module and antenna must be properly installed. Most kits are relatively inexpensive and come with all the proper tools to safely splice the wires into the correct areas.
Full alarm kit installations are harder and require routing and splicing a standalone harness into the car. The brain of the alarm system also needs to be hidden to avoid easy accessibility.
