Does having a Higher One checking account cost a monthly fee?

As of 2015, Higher One offers three checking account options with different fee schedules. The One Account checking option charges $3.95 per month, while the One Account Edge and One Account Premier customers incur charges of $4.95 and $5.95 per month, respectively.

Monthly fees may be waived for One Account and One Account Premier when certain conditions are met; students with loan disbursements deposited into their account in the past six months and those with direct deposits totaling at least $100 per month, have their One Account fee waived. One Account Premier waives the monthly fee for customers with direct deposits of at least $300 per month.
