Is HBr a strong acid?

HBr, also known as hydrobromic acid, is considered a strong acid. This is because when hydrobromic acid mixes with water, the reaction causes it to become ionized, which is the process of a substance disassociating into its ions.
There are five other strong acids: hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, sulfuric acid, hydroiodic acid and perchloric acid. Strong acids can be useful for creating chemical reactions in a laboratory. The human body uses hydrochloric acid in the stomach to aid in food digestion. Strong acids are also dangerous chemicals. They can be a fire hazard or cause chemical burns to the human body.
