What is the Hertz Platepass?

PlatePass is a toll payment service that allows Hertz customers to use the fast lane at toll booths to avoid lines and paying the tolls in cash. The bill for the accumulative tolls is sent to the customer after the Hertz rental car is returned.

In addition to the toll charges, Hertz charges a daily service fee to use PlatePass. As of August 2015, this fee is the same no matter how many times the PlatePass is used in a given day. All Hertz rental cars in participating areas are equipped and ready to use PlatePass. The service is also available through Advantage and Toyota car rental companies.
