What is high staff turnover?
By Forinfos - 22/04/2026 - 0 comments
High staff turnover means an organization loses a relatively high percentage of employees compared to those it hires and retains. High turnover is costly for an organization because of the costs to hire and train a new worker and the lost knowledge of the exiting worker.
Various factors contribute to high turnover, including hiring people who don't fit the organization in the first place. Providing compensation that is below industry norms and operating a work culture that leads to low morale are other key drivers of high staff turnover. Proactive reviews of HR practices and compensation may help combat the issue of high turnover.
