What is Hillary Clinton's connection to Watergate?

Hillary Clinton, then known by Hillary Rodham (her maiden name), was a junior member of the House Judiciary Committee's temporary Impeachment Inquiry staff during the House of Representatives' investigation of Watergate. She had no direct involvement in the scandal itself.
Recently Jerry Zeifman, a lawyer who at the time was Chief Counsel of the House Judiciary Committee's permanent staff, claimed that he fired Clinton (then Rodham) from the investigation for dishonesty and lack of ethics. Zeifman, however, had no authority over members of the Impeachment Inquiry staff, and Clinton remained a member of that staff until it dissolved in 1974.
