Some historic hotels in Leicester, England, are the Narborough Arms, City Rooms and Mill on the Soar. Originally a mill, Mill on the Soar still contains a functioning watermill that graces the dining area. The hotel sits on five acres of land with rivers and a fishing lake.

City Rooms, built in 1792, features Georgian-style architecture, including a large ballroom. The property underwent renovations in 2012 to convert it back into a hotel, which was the builder's original plan 200 years earlier before it was used as assembly rooms, judicial lodgings and county rooms. Built in the 1300s as a pub, Narborough Arms serves as a hotel, bar and restaurant, as of 2015.
