Who is Clawdia Koopa?

In the Mario video game franchise, Queen Clawdia Koopa is the rumored wife of Bowser. Clawdia Koopa does not appear in any Mario games. The only record of Clawdia Koopa is a brief mention in an issue of Nintendo Power, the official Nintendo magazine.

Bowser, also known as King Koopa, has several children known as Koopa Kids. The Koopa Kids show up in multiple Mario games, but their origins were never fully explained. A U.K. issue of Nintendo Power mentioned a rumor about Queen Clawdia Koopa, claiming she was Bowser's wife and mother to the Koopa Kids. This information is not considered Nintendo canon, and there is no official explanation for the Koopa Kids, or a record of Clawdia.
