To make a petal fold, begin with a square base. Then, fold the right and left sides to the center crease. Make sure the creases are folded well, then unfold. Make a third crease folding the top corner down, and pry open the paper. Next, crease the top flat of the paper so that the crease joins with the other two creases. Finally, bring the two sides of the paper back to meet in the center.
