As of 2015, the position of home health aide is one of the most common careers and the highest growing area in the health care field. Although the position doesn’t have a standardized educational requirement, some states require preparation classes at a community college before allowing a person to act as an HHA. The certification process requires at least 75 hours of skills and training testing followed by an exam.
