Sour cream is one home remedy that can revive dry brittle hair. People can use the sour cream by massaging it in their hair and leaving it in for 20 minutes. After the time has passed, they can rinse their hair thoroughly and shampoo it as normal.

The milk fat in the sour cream moisturizes the hair. Plain yogurt has the same effect. Raw eggs also help to fix dry, brittle hair. Use only the yolks of the eggs by mixing them and rubbing them through the hair. After 20 minutes, rinse the hair out well and then shampoo and condition as normal.
