What is HOSA?

Health Occupations Students of America is an organization that provides support for students planning to enter the field of medicine. Established in 1976, HOSA is endorsed by the U.S. Department of Education and the Health Occupations Division of the Association for Career and Technical Education.

HOSA has chapters on high school and college campuses. Its goal is to offer educational and developmental opportunities for students aspiring to attend medical school as well as for those interested in any of the allied health care fields. HOSA competitions give students the chance to achieve leadership positions within their areas of interest. The ultimate goal of HOSA is to improve health care in the future.
