Do all hospitals accept Medicare coverage?

In 2013, 6,164 hospitals were Part A providers enrolled with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid and accepted Medicare insurance, according to Statista.

In 2010, Mayo Clinic stopped accepting Medicare coverage at several facilities in Arizona, citing the low reimbursement rates as the reason, reports Bloomberg. As of 2015, though in-network for many insurance plans, Mayo Clinic and its hospitals throughout the United States do not accept Medicare assignment, as the facilities are non-participating providers, explains Mayo Clinic.
