Where do hummingbirds migrate to?

Hummingbirds migrate north to the southern United States in the spring and go as far as Alaska by May. They migrate south in the fall to Mexico and Central America.

Hummingbirds are small birds with colorful feathers. They have a long bill that they use to get nectar from flowers. Hummingbirds can fly right, left, up, down, backwards and upside down. They have a lifespan of up to four years. Hummingbirds must eat often, and they must consume a large amount of food. They eat flower nectar, tree sap, insects and pollen. There are 320 known species of hummingbirds as of 2014. They lay one to three eggs at a time.
