What is a hunting lease?
By Forinfos - 28/04/2025 - 0 comments
A hunting lease is an agreement between two parties, generally the landowner and the hunter, wherein the landowner leases the land to the hunter, granting the hunter permission to hunt the land. The hunter is required under the lease to pay a fee to the landowner.
A hunting lease creates a binding contract between the landowner and the hunter. The lease offers protection to both parties. Should the hunter fail to follow the terms of the lease, he forfeits his right to hunt on the property. Should the property owner decide he no longer wants to allow the hunter the right to hunt on the property, the hunter is entitled to a refund.
