How do you identify flour bugs?

Adult flour beetles are around 1/10 to 1/8 inch long and are reddish-brown. Their bodies are flat, which enables them to squeeze into small gaps in food packaging. The beetle's back is ridged. Flour beetles are often found near stored grains in the home, and in silos on farms.
Flour beetles lay their eggs directly on grains and related products, such as dry pet food. Once the larvae hatch from the eggs, they begin to eat the food around them.
To prevent an infestation, ensure that all food is well-packaged and keep your pantry shelves clean. Dispose of any infested food immediately and vacuum the pantry shelves and floors.
