Do IKEA refrigerators have a warranty?

As of 2015, Ikea appliances, including refrigerators, have a 5-year limited warranty from the date of purchase. This warranty covers factory-specified parts and labor, provided that the appliance is operated and maintained according to its user manual.

The buyer must present the original purchase receipt to qualify for warranty protection. Consumable parts, as well as repairs to parts or systems due to unauthorized modification of the refrigerator, are excluded from the limited warranty. Damage resulting from defects in material or workmanship must be reported within 30 days from purchase. Any alteration or removal of the factory-applied serial number from the appliance renders the warranty void.
