How does the warranty on LG refrigerators compare to Kenmore refrigerators?

The LG refrigerator’s sealed refrigerant system composed of a compressor, condenser and evaporator has a seven year warranty, whereas that of a Kenmore refrigerator has a five year warranty. A Kenmore refrigerator warranty also covers a special part known as a linear compressor, if present in the appliance.

The linear compressor warranty covers the part for 10 years from the date of sale. However, this warranty coverage applies for only two years from the sale date in the United States if the refrigerator is used for anything other than household use. The part is warranted against defects in material or workmanship.
