Many of the greatest illustrators of the 20th century saw their work grace the cover of the Saturday Evening Post, and one of the most well-known and revered of these was Norman Rockwell. Between 1916 and 1963, Rockwell's work appeared on more than 300 covers of the Saturday Evening Post.
Rockwell's work for the Post was iconic and voluminous, but he was not the only recognized illustrator whose work appeared on the Post's cover in the last century. Illustrators such as Constantin Alajalov, Stevan Dohanos, Richard Sargent, Mead Schaeffer. Coby Whitmore, and the painter Grant Wood ("American Gothic") also contributed their work to the covers of the Saturday Evening Post.
