An INNOVA OBD 2 code scanner is a tool that is used to diagnose and acquire diagnostic trouble codes from SUVs, trucks and cars produced from 1996 and later. The tool can also pull code definition data from the vehicle's computer and help with DIY diagnosis.
The INNOVA 3100 is an example of an OBD 2 code scanner tool and includes an all-in-one screen to facilitate diagnosis. The tool is also capable of connecting to a computer through a USB connection to facilitate data transfer and diagnosis. The OBD 2 code protocol DTCs include various types of code, including the U0, P0, P2 and P3 generic codes.
