What is the inspiration behind Akiane's paintings?

Akiane's stated inspiration for her paintings is the visions she began having at age 4. The young artist began having dreams and visions where she felt that she was communicating with God and continues to seek images and assistance from Him.

Akiane, who has had no formal artistic training, claims that God not only inspires her paintings but is also responsible for teaching her how to paint. In addition to painting, Akiane composes music on the piano and writes well-received books and poems about life and love.
