Do all insurance companies receive ratings?
By Forinfos - 27/04/2025 - 0 comments
According to The Street, approximately 4,300 insurance companies are rated by Weiss Ratings; however, there are insurance companies that do not receive ratings. Consumers can search for an insurance company's Weiss Rating by name, insurance type, state or rating level.
Weiss Ratings states that insurance companies are given ratings based on a scale that ranges from A for "excellent" to E for "very weak." However, insurance companies are not regulated by Weiss, as the company is regulated by individual state agencies. If consumers are concerned about an insurance provider's poor rating, Weiss Ratings recommends contacting the state regulator for insurance companies.
