Who invented Wite-Out?

Bette Nesmith Graham was the inventor of Wite-Out. Electric typewriters were becoming popular at the time, yet there was no way to correct errors easily.

Bette Nesmith Graham dropped out of school and became a secretary after World War II. As an executive secretary using an electric typewriter, Graham was tired of having to retype whole pages of information simply for making a mistake. After watching painters paint the bank windows, covering any mistakes with a layer of paint rather than washing the window and starting again, Graham began using white paint to cover her mistakes. She experimented with many mixtures before finally settling on a solution.
