Do Jenn-Air appliances require repair often?

Jenn-Air kitchen appliances have some of the highest repair rates of any major manufacturer, according to appliance repair statistics site ApplianceAssistant. Some classes of Jenn-Air appliances require as many as four times as many repairs as competing brands.

Jenn-Air electric ranges have repair rates of 16 percent as of 2015, four times higher than the most reliable brand's repair rate of 4 percent. Jenn-Air wall ovens also have a low rating for reliability on consumer advocacy website Consumer Affairs. Owners complain of many build quality and functional problems with their Jenn-Air wall ovens, including the front glass of the ovens exploding during self-cleaning cycle.
