A Kanji keyboard is a type of keyboard that lets a user type a document using Japanese Kanji characters. A user either types with a virtual Kanji keyboard or installs the keyboard software in his computer. Kanji keyboards are available online through various venues.
Japanese Kanji contains between 5,000 and 10,000 characters which are designed to make it easy to read and understand the Japanese language. In order to help Japanese non-speakers and learners, the Kanji keyboard converts the letters they press or click into Japanese. Native Japanese speakers also use this type of keyboard. Other Japanese keyboards include Hiragana and Karatana.
